2013 Academy Award nominees: Visual Effects
I thought all of the Avengers represented in Joss Whedon’s The Avengers got their fair share of screen time. But lets face it, some got more screen time than others. Vulture went ahead and clocked the screen time of each character in the film just so we could know this useless bit of geek trivia.
Hawkeye: 12:44.
Thor: 25:52.
Bruce Banner: 28:03.
Black Widow: 33:35.
Iron Man: 37:01.
Captain America: 37:42.(Source)
Now for what you’ve all been waiting for (or not), my Top 10 Favorite films of 2012! These 10 films I think represent the solid year that not just American but cinema had as a whole. Films from the 11 to 15 spots were jockeying for positions in the Top 10 at one point in time but ultimately I decided that these 10 represented my favorites of the past year, and I am damn proud of them. Part 1 can be found here.
My Top 10 Favorite Films of 2012 starts after the cut, which includes two superhero films, a couple of films that focus on human heroism, an animated film, one foreign language film, and two that star Chris Hemsworth. Go ahead!
My Top 25 Favorite Films of the Year.
I did this video last year as well and enjoyed it so much I did it again. Here are the 25 films I really loved and enjoyed this year. A mix of the best of the year and some personal favorites (the title cards in the end are in descending order, from 25 to my #1 favorite film of the year). A blog post will be up soon. Haven’t had time to write down all my thoughts but in a couple of days, I’ll have a full-out list up right here!
Enjoy!
