Hi, I'm Jio. Here are my thoughts for the day.

Spamming your dashboards with anything related to film and television and music and theater and books and magazines and fun and humor and hilarity that I love.

laviecine:

New trailer for The Great Gatsby directed by Baz Luhrmann and starring Leo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire. In theaters Dec. 25.

I could not be more excited for this film. Ever since I heard Baz Luhrmann was making it I have been eagerly anticipating, especially because the casting is so great. It looks like it’s going to have its fair share of Gatsby decadence and hopefully Luhrmann’s signature style will breath some originality into this adaptation of one of my most beloved favorites. The only thing I find appalling is that this will be in 3D. Cue eye roll.

You guys excited?

I’m very wary. I really hated Australia so I’m anxious, but this looks more Romeo + Juliet than Australia, and I’m fairly interested in the cast. So bring it.

I, however, do not understand why in the world it is opening against another DiCaprio film, Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained. Like, will Leo have to pull double duty?
